username18526 Posted June 28, 2022 Posted June 28, 2022 Has anyone seen Combat Jiujitsu where they are allowing palm strikes?
Zaine Posted June 28, 2022 Posted June 28, 2022 It's more of a rules change than anything else. From what I saw of the competitions, the palm strikes are more slaps than anything else and can only be done when someone is one the ground. From what I can infer, Bravo (the creator) got jaded with the current rule set of BJJ tournaments and felt this was a purer way of doing bouts. I can see where he's coming from, and have no loyalty either way. Otherwise, it looks like BJJ. username18526 Posted June 28, 2022 Author Posted June 28, 2022 You're correct, but it does point up certain flaws.I never really liked the De La Riva guard because I'd seen someone get knocked out while in that particular guard in combat jiu-jitsu.
