Main reason people quit Karate?

Imagine you're walking down a path, and every few steps, you find a lovely pile of pebbles. You pick them up and carry them with you. After a few stops, eventually your hands are full, your arms are getting tired. You love all these pebbles, but you have to put some down. If you want any new ones, you have to put down even more. You put down the ones you don't like so much anymore, the ones that are too heavy or too sharp.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't have picked them up to begin with, it just means you're done with them.

Hello Jazzkicker,

Thank you for the Paraphrase.

I absolutely Loved it! It remind me of when I was a Child and watched the TV series Kung FU the Master Po would tell his student(David Carradine) AKA Grashopper Kaine many similiar phrases. And When Kaine left the Shaolin Monastery and was wondering the West seeking his half brother. He would encounter many dangerous or challenging times he would reflect back to many things of such......

ex: Master Po:

If a Man dwells on the past. then he robs the present. But if a Man ignores the past,he may rob the future. The seeds of our destiny are nurtured by the roots of our past.

Master Po: Seek not to know the answers, but to understand the questions.

I stopped taking karate courses in the past for a few reasons.

One would be that the teacher was merely bad at imparting knowledge.

Others are because I simply didn't exercise well enough.

I value instructors who are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their subjects.

I also enjoy getting sweaty.

Oh, and don't forget about your classmates—an additional crucial component!

I've had training partners who had enormous egos or who would just act like they knew better when I didn't find them to be impressive.

I suppose all you have to do is find the "correct fit"
