Great news from my dojo.....I finally got my yellow belt.....my coach did his "dance of victory" for me, and the class threw flowers....Coolest most knarley day of my life. I can't wait to get my blue belt, I just might crap right there on the mat!!!

i'm not sure what the yellow belt means as i've just started in MT...but we have singlets....green, white, yellow etc. etc...

 

anyway....congratulations again and here's to you getting your blue belt! :up:

Congratulations. But I would refrain from having a smelly acident right there on the mat if I were you.

Yeah because if you do, your yellow belt may turn into a brown belt.

hey the sod, what forum are you in huh? they dont have belts in boxing and Muay Thai is a form of kickboxing (do they have belts in boxing? correct me if im wrong, but its not even a martial arts)

He was probably asking for two reasons.

 

#1 He may not know all that much about the other arts.. he may be new.

 

#2 Alot of instructors ADD a belt ranking system or something similar to there training to gauge the progress and level of expertise of the student. So, maybe he knows of a couple of MT gyms that use a belt system, or a sash system, etc etc.
