Well, muggins here (ie. me) has a system like this in the club I train at:

White, Yellow, Green, Blue, Brown, Black

Between each belt we have a "tab" of the next one, such a Yellow with Green tabs, except with White and Yellow there is no tab. I am only a Yellow Belt and have been studying for 4-5 months.

Whe I stared Tang Soo do, the belt ranks were: White, yellow, Green Red Black.

In Tae Kwon Do..they were White, Yellow, Green, Blue, Red Black.

When I created Tae Su Jutsu, I went back to the White, yellow, Green, Red, Black.

No stripes..

Peace,

Tae

Hi Rush,

That "tradition" was put in there to seperate Tae Kwon Do from Tang Soo do.

At least that is what my TKD instructor told me. Of course that was about....well, let's forget how long ago that was. LOL

Still love ya.

Peace,

Tae
