gheinisch Posted January 10, 2003 Posted January 10, 2003 Hi, I'm 37. My wife thought it would be a good idea for me and my then 15 yr. old son to take Karate together. A gentleman at our church was starting a class at no cost. He has 37 years experience so I reluctently agreed. I thought it would be good for our son. Now we are both purple belts and have been at for a little over 3 yrs. and I wouldn't give it up for the world. Stick with it, it only gets better! taebot Posted January 10, 2003 Posted January 10, 2003 Most of our black belts are parents who watched their kids grow and improve and then decided they wanted to make changes in thier lives. We even get grandkids coming in now. You are really going to benefit from not just the workout, but by socially being around people who are always going to be upbeat and positive (as a group). Enjoy the ride! "During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act." George Orwell
