Hello, I just bought a pair of Tonfa and now I am looking for something to help me learn how to use them. Does any one know some good Websites, books or videos that I can look into? Any help will make me very happy ^_^, Thanks.

I personally don't believe in learning anything (martial arts related) from books/videos.

However, I think I've seen them advertised in Black Belt Mag. for tonfa.

I use them as an additional teaching supplement - its hard to remember everything someone tells you, so I check the video.

Supplementing is different. I have no problem with someone learning from a live instructor, then using a video to refresh their memory.

LOL, sorry Doug, that wasn't a dig at you - I apologise if it sounded like that.

You're one of the good guys (a well deserved mod appointment)

Doug: I agree with the whole learning from book/video tape thing, but when you live on a small island, it is sort of hard to find instructors within a reasonable distance away ^_^.

Tobias: I would love it if you could give me that list, at least it will get me started, thanks a lot!! You can msg me on AIM or MSN, or you can e-mail them to me, either way, thanks ^_^.

Get a heavy bag and beat on it. Then get someone with a stick to beat on you. The beat on them back once you got the hang of not getting beat on so much...
