Our school has always had good sized kid classes, but the adults have been few and far between. It seems tough to get consistent adult classes going, and several of the adults we have in class is because their kids are in class, and they are doing it as a family. This is a good thing, too, but it would be nice to have a more consistent adult class. But adults tend to be busier, and finding the time to put into the MA is difficult for many of them.

We advertise on FB, however I do not think we're active enough on it (we post every now & again and advertise twice a year) to get the best out of it. We do get some interest - our current advert has reached over 1k people with over 50 engagements (likes, shares, comments) over the past 3 days... And we've had a few people try us out, however with quite alot of different MA associations & arts as well as different fitness programs about, it is very competitive in our area.

Anyway, going back to FB advertising... The good thing with analytics and targeting is that you can target a type of client (male, female), age (13 upwards or just a subset) and the area (eg local area +20km)... So you can really target the type of student you want (eg ladies only classes, self-defence class, family class, etc) :)

To the bold type above...

Demographic studies are very critical, but what's more critical is knowing what the data is telling you, and then acting upon them properly. One wrong hiccup means the difference of keeping the doors open or closed. Do demographic studies often because data changes when one least expects it. I do them quarterly!!
