Yin-Yang symbols, dragons, tigers, eagles, association logos and such.

Do you wear or display them in "civilian" life, like on a T-shirt, etc? Do they affirm your identity as a martial artist, or are they pretentious or likely to get you in trouble?

In primarily in BJJ. By decree that means about half my wardrobe is school tees of one kind or another.

That is less than crossfit.

I have one association T shirt. I wear it occasionally. Not to advertise the association. If people want to join us, they'll find us. Nobody is going to join just because they saw a slightly fat middle aged man wearing a branded T shirt.

Nope.

I don't want to draw attention to myself outside of the dojo because it can backfire on me by someone wanting to test me.

Sport apparel is all I wear that's even close to something MA like.

I have t-shirts and sweat shirts that were given to me by my Shinshii and the association. I wear them and others like USMC shirts, hunting shirts (real tree, red head, mossy oak, etc), school (college) shirts, etc. etc.

I pretty much wear what ever is clean. Having said that I don't "sport" my MA shirts. I wear them because they are there and clean.

I don't have any MA specific clothing other than my gi. That only goes to class and tournaments. If the tournament is more than a few minutes away I change there and change back to street clothes before leaving.

I am always one who wants to blend in and not be noticed. I am an introvert.

I have a couple T-shirts from our school that I might wear on occasion. Those are days I typically go to class, get a work out in at home, or that I'm hanging around the house, though.

My first school put out exactly one shirt and, being that my family had been with the school since it had opened, I got one for free. It was a nice shirt, but I only ever wore it to class. I know a few people who wear MA shirts outside of class, and that's fine for them but I choose not to. Like Sensei8 mentioned, I find no reason to advertise it. MA is something that I do for me, not everyone else. Otherwise, on the days where I don't have to dress for work, I tend to wear Ts that have my favorite nerdy franchise over them.

I have t-shirts and will wear them on occasion. Less to advertise and more if they just happen to be available to wear. To be honest I prefer it when they are a good design and the MA branding is more subtle. Some schools tend to just slap their patch on the front and some Japanese calligraphy and call it a day and I wouldn't really choose to go out in something like that. Though you can get away more and more with MA stuff in public due to UFC and brands like Tapout are being worn by normal people.
