New to this sight but been around other forums for some time. started training as a kid back in 1978. took a few years off but started again as a teen in 1984.my first style was shaolin Kempo karate. i have also trained Aikido under Fumio Toyota in the A.A.A. organization and also studied Authentic Rinzai Zen in the Daihinzan Chozen -JI linage that co- trains in Jikishinkage Kashima Shinden Ryu sworsmanship. my primary traditional style since 1993 has been Uechi Ryu karate.dabbled some in TKD, Goju-ryu and BJJ. For the last 10 years i have also been developing and working my own brand of Combatives for civilian self defense and self protection.glad to be here and looking forward to some good discussions.
