Radok Posted December 26, 2002 Posted December 26, 2002 how many of you guys use dit da jow fo your conditioning? If you do, could you post your recipe? thanx If you can't laugh at yourself, there's no point. No point in what, you might ask? there's just no point. Many people seem to take Karate to get a Black Belt, rather than getting a Black Belt to learn Karate.
Iron Arahat Posted December 27, 2002 Posted December 27, 2002 I will always use dit da jow when training. I will not give out the recipe or give out training information for any "iron" training. There have been many threads on this, but the making of the medicine and the raining should only be done if understood properly. Sunsu Posted June 15, 2003 Posted June 15, 2003 I try to use it after every workout (weights and technical class). I don't have any access to real Jow, but I have some homemade analgesic that works great for me: Necessaries: Bengay Ultra Strength Capzasin HP (or the generic version) Mentholatum (or Vicks Vaporub) Two Tablespoons of Cayenne Pepper (powder) I mix this in a small pot (sans Cayenne), heat until just before boiling, then pour into whatever container is handy. Then, I mix in the pepper, shake what my mamma gave me, then let sit in the dark for about two-three days. I apply this to my hands, elbows, shoulders, knees, ankles, and feet after every workout. I am in the process of ordering some Jow from https://www.ditdajows.com I have heard only positive feedback on their product, and their staff has been amazing in helping me reserve the "Fiery Phoenix" Jow. If you want a few more Jow links, email me: shodan_v2.0@lycos.com "Hiya!""Excuse you."
azwingchun Posted June 15, 2003 Posted June 15, 2003 If anyone would like jow recipes I have about 7 or 8 of them. If anyone is interested I would be more than happy to share them via e-mail. Some of them are very long and would take too much space to list. These jows seem to be very, very good, I have prepared and used each one personally. These recipes come from various schools, ranging from Ba Gua, Wing Chun, White Eyebrow and White Crane. I am willing to share them because personally I find nothing secretive about jow or any of the training. The secretiveness is just something to add mystic to ones system. My e-mail is chandlerwingchun@cox.net, it may take me awhile to respond (I had several people e-mail me the last time I did this), so be patient. John Widener
Drunken Monkey Posted June 16, 2003 Posted June 16, 2003 how about the ones from your local chinese medicine shop? after all, we've been using that one for ages... post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."
