So I was at my local gym practicing my Thai roundhouse kicks. The gym is known to be unsanitary so I wore my MA shoes while I was practicing. After about 10 minutes of Switch Kicks, I noticed something weird about my feet as if something got into my shoe. After close examination, the soles of the shoe was coming off. How bizarre. Those were Adidas MA shoes too.

I bought a pair of Century MA shoes. They felt like they were cheaply made, so I just returned them. Reviews for the Adidas shoes indicate they might not be all that great, as well. I decided to just get used to kicking on carpeting with bare feet.

FWIW those shoes aren't really meant to take impact, they are for floor work like running through forms and shouldn't really be used on a bag. Adidas would most likely tell you that you're using them incorrectly.

That said, it looks like complete adhesive failure and I would guess that not enough was used in manufacture. Could fix it yourself by applying more adhesive. Anything that is marketed as a shoe adhesive or contact cement would do the job.

I've had a pair of Adidas like those ones for years and have had no issues.

There is a product, the name is shoe goo, that would fix that and be stronger than when you first bought them. Its not expensive and can be found at most shoe stores and I think I've even seen it at Walmart.

I used to use it to prolong my work boot's life and it works. I've had tear outs, souls coming off and have even used it to glue the leather back on the steel toe.

Hmmm, thanks for the advice guys. I'm gonna try to apply some more aggressive adhesive and see if that holds better. If not, then I guess some inexpensive tennis shoes are in order.
