Sparbar

Came across the Sparbar earlier: https://www.sparbar.co.uk

Looks like a great bit of kit for solo-training. What do you think? Could something like this replace more conventional training tools?

I've seen a similar tool posted before, and I think it would be an awesome bit of equipment to go along with other equipment, and of course, a good sparring partner.

I'd love one but not sure I could just dropping £200 on even just the wall mounted version. Can't be that difficult to fabricate for personal use right?

I don't know why exactly, but I immediately thought of the Hit-Away when I first saw it...

Picture a bunch of college clowns drinking in a basement while watching a baseball game, and taking turns at the Hit-Away that's attached to a support beam, and you've got a great picture of several of my college buddies. And me.

The Sparbar is one of those things that made me wonder "Why didn't I think of that?"

Looks like a great tool. Too pricey for me, but what isn't? I'd love to get one that I could attach to something like a support beam in my basement.

Edit: Then again, a boxing slip bag is pretty similar and probably cheaper. And could be homemade with a small ball and some sort of net...

Make it out of oak or ironwood, and miss a dodge or block. :D

They have one of those "see how hard you can punch!" games at a local bar. A coworker of mine was bragging that he breaks the record every time he plays. Another coworker pointed out that the game gets a hard-reset every night.

That made my day.
