G95champ Posted June 7, 2002 Posted June 7, 2002 Both of my Sensei's I love to death. Howie Harvey was my Shotokan Sensei and will always be the one I credit for teaching me. Geary Kanode taught me American TAO Karate and introduced me to a differnt version of Martial Arts based on the nothing is wrong idea. Both men were like uncles to me and I personally owe both a lot which I will never be able to repay. I am the only one of Sensei Harvey's students teaching in WV so I keep teaching for him and I was Sensei Kanode's first balck belt in his combined art American TAO. So I feel that honor to keep his art alive. Both taught me much more than Karate which a good Sensei should. (General George S. Patton Jr.) "It's the unconquerable soul of man, and not the nature of the weapon he uses, that ensures victory."
