Jion, jitte, and jiin. Wow. I've just started jiin. Now when I go back and try to do jion or jitte I end up mixing them all together. Too many similar techniques put in different sequences amongst the 3. My head is going to explode

I am considering learning Jion for 100 kata day.

"Walk a single path, becoming neither cocky with victory nor broken with defeat, without forgetting caution when all is quiet or becoming frightened when danger threatens." ~ Jigaro Kano

Consider this: if these 3 kata make up a systematic progression like the pinan or naihanchi, what order do they belong in?
