Alan Armstrong Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 Mandatory, Wing Chun cabin crew on Hong Kong Airlines. Perhaps other airlines will use the same idea?
mushybees Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 When they only do 6hrs of training it's a bit of a gimmick but it's nice that the airline is putting on an introduction like that for it's crew.If it sparks some interest and a few go on to train seriously it's great.
Alan Armstrong Posted August 6, 2017 Author Posted August 6, 2017 Certainly makes a positive change as something new for all styles of martial arts.Different styles could and should of need be, develop a curriculum for cabin crew staff, for their respective airline companies, worldwide. Also, this opens up options for many martial artists to train cabin crew staff. The trickling down to airport security and boarding staff members are also going to be encouraged to explore ways that benefits there safety as well.
Alan Armstrong Posted January 23, 2019 Author Posted January 23, 2019 Hong Kong airlines advertisement of a Chinese woman doing the 1st Wing Chun form Sil lum tau.https://youtu.be/MrN4cFhMYuAMakes me wonder if in the far off future that other airline cabin crew will be mandatory trained in martial arts such as MMA or BJJ and will see some friendly bouts between them in major airports.
