cheesefrysamurai
I need to deepen my Neko Ashli dachi.Anyone have any exercises to help? Nothing Worth Having Is Easily Obtained - ESPECIALLY RANK
Zaine
Provided that you stance is correct, the best thing you can do is practice. Do you watch tv? Do neko ashi dachi. Do you cook? Do neko ashi dachi. What you're focusing on here is muscular endurance, or your ability to continue holding a position for a period of time. I suggest looking up exercises that help you with your muscular endurance. sensei8
How much more deeper??How deep are you right now??Most Okinawan styles, as you know, have a much more upright stance than most Japanese styles; kind of akin to a natural default. **Proof is on the floor!!! Wastelander
As sensei8 points out, Okinawan stances are not generally very low in comparison to Japanese styles, and neko-ashi-dachi, in particular, is not a very low stance. It only goes so low before you compromise the structure of the stance.
