If Mayweather has a heart attack, a stroke, and is struck by lightning all at the same time, he'll still beat conner 12 rounds out of 12
 that is funny and a bold statement.

what we have here is the time old arguement of which is the better art.

that someone from another art(mcgregor) can beat a boxer.

That's not a fair comparison though. There are so many sport specific things applied in boxing that don't apply to the same level (if at all) to mma.

-boxers tend to have very deep and wide stances, something much less applicable in mma

-boxers can only punch. This is one of the reasons you see boxers that truly throw punches in bunches, with 7,8, and 9 punch combos. Said combos tend to be much too long for MMA.

-bobbing and weaving is less applicable for MMA and seen much less. Its almost guaranteed in boxing.

Then you have the experience. Mayweather is older and hes been doing it much longer than Conner. Hes also done only boxing and to be fair probably throws more punches in a single fight than Conner did his entire career of fights combined. If we were to crunch the numbers you'd probably see that Mayweather has thrown more punches, had more punches thrown at him, and by the best in the world by about a factor of 100. Conner has absolutely no chance whatsoever....

In my eyes, McGregor doesn't really lose out on this one.

If he loses, he still gets a massive payout and all of the publicity. If, against all the odds he wins, it'll be one of the greatest stories in combat sports.

Has anyone seen the sparring footage McGregor's old training partner Chris van Heerden posted? This is from 2016, Connor (blue gloves) doesn't look all too sharp:

conner fights like bruce lee.

he uses distance, timing and gile, to frustrate the opponent. this he will use against mayweather as mayweather is a counterpuncher and conner has to make mayweather attack and counter that attack.

connor has to make mayweather lead. if he just attacks like ricky hatton he will end up knocked out.

McGregor must be pleased about not having to bother with grapplers.

He does have a noticeable classic bear knuckle style of fighting, which he will undoubtedly be testing on a contemporary style boxer.

No predictions, just let the best man win fair and square, monetarily they both come out winners.

do you think connors grappling is not up to scratch?

they have both transended the world of fighting.
