There are so many different styles - north, south, animals, etc. Some Shaolin schools get "spiritual", so it would be a problem for christian,jewish,muslim,etc. to get involved with. K.O.D Posted March 16, 2003 Share Posted March 16, 2003 I have learned Shaolin and most of the other styles and it has to be the ultimate style it focuses mind and body if you are thinking of taking classes I suggest you learn Capoeira first, it gives you a lot more control. Like larry said in the old schools there was more focus on the spiritual side of it, but I have a christian instructor so we don't go into any of that.
