Why not try a few classes of each and find out which one suits you best? Most classes will give you a free first class, so take advantage of that to try them out. I would be wary of starting two arts at once though, especially if you're new to or been away from the MAs for a while, it could be counter productive, at least in the beginning.

I agree. Seek out the schools in your area, and watch some classes and speak to the instructors. See what they have to offer, and see if they meet your goals. Are you looking for competition opportunities? Self-defense? A good, physical training session? You should consider what you want out of your training, and then see which school offers what you want.
