The camaraderie is definitely a big thing for me and, also the very informal nature, my instructor doesn't like to be called Sensei, so it's first names for everyone. Also the self confidence has really grown for me to which is a huge thing.

The thing I love most about my art isn't anything tangible, its the feeling I get from training, turning up to the dojo leaving all outside problems at the door, and forgetting about all the worries of the world.

This, exactly

I pretty much agree with all the other posts.

One thing I love is the way that time flows with MA. Either when trying to remember all the things you did from class to class, or how in one moment you can be fighting for your life; pushing your limits, and making decisions within seconds, then five minutes later reviewing the anatomy of the body, slowing down and trying to remember all your previous movements.

Pure Martial Arts skills is the base of different martial art categories like mma (free style fighting) & muay thai. But the main thing is the basics of martial arts which gives every time a new sense, style & techniques for martial arts lovers.

Have to go with the same answer that was previously mentioned. While practicing martial arts offers numerous benefits, I really enjoy the chance to focus on something other than everyday stress. Between the everyday challenges at work and home, it's nice to be somewhere I don't worry about things aside from improving my efforts at martial arts. On a side note, martial arts have also taught me how to better deal with problems outside from class.

So I agree with the comradery benefits of training, but I think my favorite part of training is working the really nit picky technical parts of self defense techniques. If I can do that with one of my more productive training partners in an advance class or in an open mat session, I get more from those types of evenings then almost anything else. Analyzing and breaking down the techniques step by step, and then figuring out all of the different applications for the parts of a technique really engages me.

Dissecting the bunkai of forms and katas as well for the same reasons. I love trying to figure out the bunkai of a form or kata and then on the other hand I also love hearing what the intended bunkai is from the perspective of the form's creator. It's a lot of fun for me to come up with my own applications and then compare how I view it vs. how it was originally intended.

I enjoy all of the different aspects and facets of martial arts.

I know everywhere I go my martial arts will be there also; for the rest of my life.

Two hours training passes by too quickly, just getting warmed up.

Also enjoy it when my techniques fall exactly in to place, almost with in an instant.

I don't like losing but it does make me smarter to rethink my techniques to improve upon them.

I enjoy reading the expressions on peoples faces, when a technique they have never seen before happens before their eyes; priceless!

Very positive reading about every one else's enthusiasm for martial arts. Great post!
