tallgeese Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 Here's some work we put in last week dealing with the very common defense to the straight ankle lock, standing in place to weight. There are lots of mechanics to use here, but one of the easiest is transitioning to a new position. In this video, we move from the standing counter to the X guard. Check it out: How many people utilize the various foot and ankle locks to counter the guard? How many transitions to you prepare for if it is countered? http://alphajiujitsu.com/https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJhRVuwbm__LwXPvFMReMww
sensei8 Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 Nice tutorial, Alex!!If it, whatever 'it' might be, is within reach, and it makes sense to seize it, and go from there, then I'll do such, and with such conviction!! **Proof is on the floor!!!
TJ-Jitsu Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Hot stuff!I'm not a big footlock guy. They have their time and their place, though.
bushido_man96 Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 I've seen an ankle lock done a few times, but never worked with it much myself. You've got a lot of positional stuff working there too. A lot to take in for me. Thanks for sharing it, Alex! https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
