when i said "my martial arts training will be paused for 3 months" i mean that i will be learning my the techniques that i already know for the next 3 months

You should do shotokan ... You'll do oi tsuki as white belt and till you die and it applies for all the "basics" :D Sometimes it can get a little boring, but ...

Of course...thats how it should be.

 

Also, if you think thats hard, come and try a class in Matayoshi Okinawan Kobudo - you'll spend years just doing Bo hojo-undo ichi. Whether your a 10th Kyu or a 5th Kyu, you will still do he same basic thing, except at 5th Kyu you'll do it better :)

No problem :)

 

As "coleagues" in the same MA style, it's normal to share some POVs. It's nice to see you don't have to be from the same region or country to find some "soul mates"

 

I don't know many things about other styles, but I know Shotokan is for the patient ones. If they are not like this, they'll become. I'm sure there are other style who teach the same thing among others. Patience is a sign of maturity, perhaps the only you'll find at me :D :D :D
