Tobias_Reece Posted November 18, 2002 Posted November 18, 2002 You should do shotokan ... You'll do oi tsuki as white belt and till you die and it applies for all the "basics" Sometimes it can get a little boring, but ... Of course...thats how it should be. Also, if you think thats hard, come and try a class in Matayoshi Okinawan Kobudo - you'll spend years just doing Bo hojo-undo ichi. Whether your a 10th Kyu or a 5th Kyu, you will still do he same basic thing, except at 5th Kyu you'll do it better (Oh, and thanks to Ramy for backing me up on this one) Regards "You Are Never Given A Dream Without Also Being Given The Power To Make It True. ramymensa Posted November 27, 2002 Posted November 27, 2002 (Oh, and thanks to Ramy for backing me up on this one)No problem As "coleagues" in the same MA style, it's normal to share some POVs. It's nice to see you don't have to be from the same region or country to find some "soul mates" I don't know many things about other styles, but I know Shotokan is for the patient ones. If they are not like this, they'll become. I'm sure there are other style who teach the same thing among others. Patience is a sign of maturity, perhaps the only you'll find at me World Shotokan Karate
