P.A.L Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 We had a shorinkan seminar at sensei Ray Owle's dojo yesterday. I am not exactly a shorinkan member but my kobayashi shorin ryu was close enough to do all the katas with them. Kyoshi Charlie Dean was there leading the class and everybody had the chance to express his/her opinion in technical details. i picked up at least two fine notes from Naihanchi Shodan and Kusanku Dai. if we have enough Okinawan shuri-te practitioners from Houston we could meet and enjoy practicing katas together once a year.
sensei8 Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 I'd love to get together with other Shuri-te practitioners for a day of kata and the like; I'm in Pearland, TX.Please, count me in! As Kaicho of the SKKA, my calendar can be quite busy from time to time throughout the year, but if given some alert as to it being scheduled, I can possible work it onto my calendar somehow and someway, but no guarantee. **Proof is on the floor!!!
