Ok, say your going for a K.O. here ;) for competition or whatever lol, anyhow, if you were to throw a roundhouse(roundkick) to the head/face/throat, how would you throw it, what part of your foot, and ewhere exactly would you strike for the best results ;). Sorry for the vague info but, just curious b/c oddly enough im getting alot of different opinions. thanks!

i think if i wanted to k.o id hit with the ball of your foot, but that sounds abit harsh really, i spose i normal roundkick to the neck would do the trick.

I'd kick him with my shin, the power and strengh behind the thai kick, would force my leg to go through my opponents head not just bounce off it, causing a devistating KO.

I suppose kicking someone head with you shin would be pretty devastating ;) might be kind of hard to get your shin up there while maintaining balance and generating good power, but nonetheless, it would be nice lol

I'd probably just strike with the ball of my foot, it's not like you need a ton of power when hitting the head anyway.

Ball of the foot. I don't think you should aim for the throat full-force unless you specifically want them dead.

In a kind of a tough man thing where kicks were allowed I saw a guy throw a round house kick to his opponents face right out of the corners. He did some serious damage to the guys face (broken bones - teeth) even with foot pads on. That was an instep kick and the other guy even had on headgear. He hit the guy right in the face instead of on the side of the head.

I agree with Thai. Kicking with the ball of the foot isn't a bad idea either. But I think if I kicked with the instep (hard enough for a KO), it would hurt me instead of my opponent ..... ouch! That's just me, though.
