Ueshiro Shorin-Ryu Karate USA. Anyone heard of it? Or practice it? I managed to get a green belt with them a few years ago at the local YMCA. I greatly enjoyed the classes and the people there. I'm curious to hear other people's opinions though. Thanks!

Well, I assume "Ueshiro Shorin-Ryu Karate USA" would be an organization that teaches Ueshiro Ansei Sensei's brand of Matsubayashi-Ryu. If so, then I suppose I've heard of it--he was a rather well-known instructor under Nagamine Shoshin, if I remember correctly.

If they are in fact teaching Ueshiro's style of karate as he taught it, then it should be quite good. Ueshiro was/is very highly regarded in many circles.
