ZeRo Posted November 3, 2002 Posted November 3, 2002 ive looked on the internet abit and couldnt find anything does anyone know a site that gives step-by-step instuction of nunchaku kata. or just any kind of instruction. thanks
SaiFightsMS Posted November 3, 2002 Posted November 3, 2002 There are not really any traditional nunchaku katas in the Japanese/Okinawan tradition. They are a more recent weapon. I know schools who follow traditional kobudo training use them but there is not a lot of information around for them.
Tobias_Reece Posted December 4, 2002 Posted December 4, 2002 I know of two nunchaku katas used in out style. I think that all we have. Most nunchaku katas are modern inventions, many based on basic kata - yondan for example (go-waza nunchaku) "You Are Never Given A Dream Without Also Being Given The Power To Make It True. You May Have To Work For It, However"Principal Kobudo Instructor & OwnerWest Yorkshire Kobudo Academy2nd Kyu (Matayoshi Okinawan Kobudo, IOKA UK)
ronryu Posted December 15, 2002 Posted December 15, 2002 I only know of 2 nunchaku kata . Tairia sho and ni . Both are from Tairia Shinken . Karate is not a sport , it is a way of life .Sandan Motobu ha Shi-to ryu karate Katsu ryu kempo Ryukyu kobudo
