Deathcometh Posted March 22, 2002 Posted March 22, 2002 Hey i think chi/ki is a real thing. It's just the energy from within that can bring a calm look and feal on the world.
Crucio Posted March 23, 2002 Posted March 23, 2002 hmm, i got thrown by a person who knew aikido and i felt something surge through me. Besides, if theres no Ki then how did Jet Li in Twin Warriors make all those leaves swirl around. you cant do that with special effects. j/k I do believe in Ki, becuase if you have ever read the stuff at http://www.aikidofaq.com its cool bunbu ichi
shotochem Posted March 27, 2002 Posted March 27, 2002 I dont want to upset anyone but I have my doubts about this Chi thing. What is it? I kind of believe that it could be the ability to focus your mind and body to become in perfect sync with each other. Its like a baseball player hitting the sweet spot or Tiger woods nailing one. Could it just be the feeling you get when you execute a technique with perfect power and force? I have trouble with trying to find a mystical paranormal definition of what it could be so Im looking for a physical one. My mind or "spiritual" energy has never prevented me from being hit or has hit anyone for that matter.... Hence my signature...... Pain is only temporary, the memory of that pain lasts a lifetime.
Iron Arahat Posted March 27, 2002 Posted March 27, 2002 There was a 90 plus post thread on this in the old jujitsu fourm on this board, I'm not sure where it went. Good debate though.... Martial Arts School http://www.shaolinwushu.cahttp://www.liveyyc.comCalgary Photographer: http://www.jdirom.com
Deathcometh Posted April 11, 2002 Posted April 11, 2002 Chi/ki is the energy that flows through the body in all living things and yes even your dog or cat has chi/ki. Its the energy that drives us to do something, it can heal people, make people stronger in the mind and body. Also by directing the energy you can learn how to do all these things and more. I've been learning about chi/ki for about 1-2 months now and trust me I can already somethings that other people cant believe and......well.....most don't.
