Texas Karate newbie

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone. I'm am old Judo and boxing guy who hasn't been active in I ER a decade. My middle son is starting to act like I did when so was 5, rough-and-tumble, so it's ctime for in to learn some martial arts. I'm looking into Karare schools, as I'm a big fan of Japanesse arts being a Judo guy.

I'm just here looking for advise and to ask questions, get my head back into the game, so to speak. I'm excited to start training and attending torunamants and rank tests with him, watching his love for Martial Arts grow like mine did, and hopefully encourage him enough to stick with it, like I didn't.

Welcome to KF! It's great to have you! I live in the DFW area, so if you're in the same area maybe I can point you in the right direction.

Martial arts training is 30% classroom training, 70% solo training.
