sensei8 Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Nice tutorial; thanks for sharing it!!As an instructor, when working with a student, do you break the WC Dummy into working segments of the WCD; top part of the Dummy...middle part of the Dummy? How often, if at all, does WC utilize transitional shifts while working with the WC Dummy? **Proof is on the floor!!!

How often, if at all, does WC utilize transitional shifts while working with the WC Dummy? Yes, the dummy form is broken into sections so its easier to learn. I like to have a student spend 1 month on each section before learning the next one. there is no set time a student should train on the dummy form. It depends on them but a general rule is 10 to 30 mins 3x a week. The wooden dummy has many transitional shifts pretty much the whole form right from the begining. http://www.youtube.com/user/sifumcilwrath"When the student is ready the master will appear"
sensei8 Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 I like the fact that your students spend a month on one section before moving to another. To many things pass by unnoticed when things are rushed, and students can be quite impatient at times. **Proof is on the floor!!!

I have them spend one month on each section but I spent 1 year so they can't complain.. http://www.youtube.com/user/sifumcilwrath"When the student is ready the master will appear"
