korean terminology

how about a thread dealing with korean terninology. if nothing else we can impress the waitress at the korean resturant. :idea:

 

do to the fact that spelling is sometime a problem with subjects like this(more myself than anyone else). we should use proper spelling when known but phonically is most likely the best choice and very useful. let's see how it goes.

 

i will start:

 

ka sa me da.....thank you

 

an young ha say oh.......hello/greeting

Ooh yes, i've heard those Korean ladies are quite nice :brow:

 

Kamsahumnida is the proper spelling for for thank you... the only other terminoligy I can find on the net however is for sijack, joonbi, etc. :/

kyueng ne.. (bow) shijak(begin)..kiiti gata(korean flag) or goman(stop)somtimes confused with "come on" in which you have to tell the student "damn it i meant stop not try harder!!! :wink:
