Joshinmon Shorin-Ryu

I practise a style called Joshinmon Shorin-Ryu! Founded by Hoshu Ikeda, baced on the principles of Kyan. Has anyone ever heard of Joshinmon Shorin-Ryu? Does anyone else here practise it?

I cannot say that I have heard of that style, can you tell us a little more about it?

I've heard of it, and I'm certainly familiar with Kyan and his history, but I don't know too much other than that. How different is what you do to what the Zentokukai folks do?

I'd never heard of it, it sounds a little unorthodox; It claims to be Shorin Ryu, but it was founded in Tokyo, Japan. As most admit, Karatedo is Okinawan. I looked on You Tube, the techniques look like karate, but there is little hip in their action. It may be influenced by other than Shorin Ryu, I don't know. It may be a modern rendition, as Shukokai is of Shito Ryu but I'm only guessing.
