tallgeese
This week we spent dealing with the bottom mount. Being stuck on bottom sucks, but it's critical to practice at all stages of development. Here, we focus on a chain involving the heel drag and them escape from modified mount. sensei8
This might be just me, but I've always considered grappling, and after all, MA in general, as a catch-as-catch-can experiment; either it will or it won't.Still, another great tutorial, Alex!! Solid!! Thank you for sharing it!! **Proof is on the floor!!!
pittbullJudoka
Like Bob said another great tutorial, Alex. The leg drag is my go to move from the mount. I'm sure you'll agree but I'm moving to that one before they settle fully into their mount. I have a high success rate with this one. Also as you pointed out the turning of your hips to make the space under their knee is a very important key that a lot of people leave out and I've been guilty of it in the past. On the escape from modified mount I don't understand why most people want to try to bring the bottom knee through when the top knee moves easier. I can usually work both knees through and go for the double shin sweep. But it's all good stuff. Thanks again for posting.
bushido_man96
Very cool. I like how your brace you set with your arm across the belt and the arm along the femur doesn't involve any material grabbing, which will work well for me. Now, trying to remember what you did from there will be tough. I like the progressions you show, too. When my son gets bigger, and can more comfortably support my weight, I see spending time watching these videos and trying them out more. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
