Slim Posted September 27, 2001 Author Posted September 27, 2001 How about the big low kicks they do? Obviously they hurt like hell, and after a while the leg cant be used, but what is physically happening to the leg, and where exactly do they aim?
thaiboxerken Posted September 28, 2001 Posted September 28, 2001 I've been told to aim 3" above the knee. The aim is to crash the thigh. The siatic (sp?) nerve runs through the thigh, that's a good target, it is about 45-degrees outside of the center-back of the thigh. If that is hit, it's really great. If not, then the power of the kick will hopefully cause the thigh muscle work less effectively. Just kick 'em, they'll understand.- Me Apprentice Instructor under Guro Inosanto in Jun Fan Gung Fu and Filipinno Martial arts.Certified Instructor of Frank Cucci's Linxx system of martial arts.
