Mr Buffalo
I'm searching for video, literature or even a Master who knows the Hyung ~ Tae KukKwon, I've seen it mentioned on the net, usually associated with Tang So Do or Chang Mu Kwon styles. But not been able to pin down it's origin or it's form. While I'm at it, if anyone knows the complete (offense and defensive sides) of Tae Jo Kwan that would be greatly appreciated.SUN! bushido_man96
Boy, that's not one I'm familiar with. Is it a translation of a Karate form of some kind? My guess is it would be from something like that, as most of the forms in Korean styles branched from Shotokan. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
Mr Buffalo
I'm lead to believe it's a higher form in the Pyung An set. Here this site list it as a form, but doesn't have a video of it.http://www.natkd.com/pyong_ahn_forms.htm Master David "Buffalo" LoreePasaRyu Martial Arts Academy
bushido_man96
I have one Tang Soo Do book at home. I'll look and see if it is mentioned in it. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
wagnerk
Just a quick question, a lot of the forms in TSD are based on variations of Okinawa/Japanese forms with the exception of the Chil Sung forms (which there are no direct variations that I know of). According to what I've seen (I've also seen it on other sites as well), Tae Kuk Kwon is basically Tai Chi Chuan. Would it not be the same movements? Just like So Rim Jang Kwan is Shaolin Long Fist. bushido_man96
The book I have doesn't mention the form, unless it goes by a different name as well. The book I have is by GM C.S. Kim. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
IcemanSK
Perhaps it's a form in this book? http://www.amazon.com/Tae-Kwon-Classic-Forms-Hyung--Novice-ebook/dp/B00BLRLW3U/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1433301475&sr=8-2&keywords=chung+do+kwan Being a good fighter is One thing.
