PittbullJudoka, half guard review with escapes next week and more stick work? And more video to watch now Tallgeese.

Yes. I was thinking of recording this week for the half guard stuff. And maybe building on Racoon Valley.

Tallgeese thanks for the inspiration to start filming again.

I thought a variant of this pass last week. I addressed the situation of when you get your knee through that for what ever reason you just can't seem to get the foot out. The body positioning is higher in the variation I used for the given situation since you were using the free foot to do a toe tap to the bottom knee.

How do you address if the person on bottom catches the in foot and you can't remove it in the technique in the video? I'm not saying your way won't work but you've got those guys/girls out there that can hold on seemingly forever. I'm just curious as to how you deal with that situation being you're much more knowledgeable on the ground than I.

Im not trying to step over anyones toes (tallgeese) but I thought I'd lend a hand.

Your ankle gets caught- if you keep moving your body up towards your opponents head it gets further from your ankle. Whats happening here is the more you insist on passing the weaker your ankle becomes (and the harder it is to escape).

To remedy- rather than trying to bring your ankle to your hip (which you cant do because its caught) bring your hip to your ankle by pushing yourself back. Continue to drive down (as opposed to up) and your foot will pop out quite easily.

After all, trying to hold unto an unwilling opponent is kind of like trying to wrestle a fish; quite slippery at times.
