Crosstraining TKD/Boxing

I boxed for three years before I took up TKD, and i can tell you one thing, Boxing gave me a hudge advantage in TKD. There was a few things to get used to, the whole kicking thing and the new hand positions. Boxing made me tough so I was not afraid of getting hurt, others in the club noticed this and enjoyed sparing with me. Boxing allows you to see stricks comming so you have great defence. Linking the punches together with kicks seemed to come naturally to me.

 

I think it would be harder to go from TKD to Boxing because of the whole punching to the head thing. I suggest mixing the two, even if you do not catch on right away, you will get a great work out.
