As the title states, i'm looking for short sleeve/ Kyokushin style gi, but WITHOUT kyokushin embroidered on it. Anyone know where to purchase one? or would I be better off just getting a regular one tailored?

I've not seen them for sale, but I've not looked for one either. I'd think you could have it tailored to the way you're wanting to. I remember seeing a photo of Tadashi Nakamura Sensei wearing a gi top without any sleeves; looked really good.

They have a good selection, and are not excessively priced. Getting a conventional sleeve and having it tailored is another option and the approach I favour. However, I usually use a Gi I have used for ages and is on it's way out when I compete.

As your plan is for regular training, I would suggest buying one cut for purpose. They generally last longer and weather the training a bit better.

As a matter of fact, I've tailored one of my gi tops so that there'd be no sleeves, I use it quite often during classes and primarily when I'm training.

Okinawan Cut? I have one; it's a 12oz WMA Okinawa, £25 from amazon; not posh but does a good job.

Look to the far mountain and see all.
