hell yes, but it is best to have an instructor, and just use the videos to supplement your training.

 

If you want to learn from videos i would suggest getting a more simplistic system such as boxing or thai boxing rather than trying to learn an entire kung fu style because kung fu has alot of forms and they would be very hard to learn from video.

Videos are a great way to supplement your training. But to pick up a system, it'll only show you the moves that you can mimic. It won't be able to show you the proper angle, pressures, etc. of any form or technique.

 

The only way for that to happen is through your instructor. I've found though that if you video tape your own training sessions for future reference, you can also learn from it because you'll understand the intricacies of each movement as it is explained to you by your instructor.

I wouldn't recommend learning from Videos unless you have a strong background in Gong Fu already.

 

If you do, then videos are great
