I was talking to someone at my dojo the other day when I realized that as of this year, I have been training Karate for half of my life, as it's been 14 years since I started at the awkward age of 14 years old.

Judo is much less impressive, having only done it for three months now, that'd be 1/112 of my life. :brow:

This got me wondering about all of you guys on the forums.

So what are your fractions?

How much of your life have you been training martial arts?

How much of your life have you spent studying your different styles?

I have also been training for half of my life! I've never thought of it that way before. I've been doing it for 12 years and I have been cross training for about 6 of those years.

Martial arts training is 30% classroom training, 70% solo training.

Ok...I'm not good with fractions...but...

I'm 56 years old; 57 years old this October, and I'll have been training in Shindokan for 50 years this October consistently.

I trained in TKD for 1 year, during my high school days.

I've been cross training for 37 years.

:)

edit: 37 years cross training and NOT 27, as I originally posted; typo

Hmm lets see.

Shotokan for 35 years of my 40 years on this earth, Judo for 4 years of my 40 and other martial arts approx. 10 years of my 40.

So Shotokan 87%, Judo 10%, Other 25%....WOW...Thats a lot.
