Harkon72 Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Well, two weeks with no real training left me chomping at the bit to train tonight. But Sensei Williams had a special regime for me; I was made very aware what it means to be a brown belt at Dragon Martial Arts. I had the workout of my life tonight. Half way through the Kihon I had to take an emergency break; then there was no let up. My Kata bunkai was tested to breaking point. After the class I was floating back home; a good meal and some mistletoe tea with honey and I'm off to bed. If this is the shape of things to come; bring it on Sensei; the future is bright the future is D.M.A. Look to the far mountain and see all.
DoctorQui Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Ha...no pain no gain! Fortunately I just did my 6th Dojo tonite since the holidays so I'm pretty much ok now!
GaryMo Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Did my third on Thursday since the new year and that's after a 2 month break due to a twinging lower back. Should have attempted to do light stretching whist I was away from training as I'm suffering now!
wagnerk Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 I've attended 4 classes since the start of the new year (missed one), and I know how you feel. It's been a while since my body has had to recover a day or day before aches and pains go away, lol Tang Soo Do: 3rd Dan '18Shotokan Karate: 2nd Dan '04
Canadian77 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Even as a newbie I hear you! Cardio ability goes quickly, and my muscles had just started to stop hurting after every time, now I'm back to square one with lots of panting and pain lol.
