You are all amazing

Thanks everyone, but volunteering was no big deal.... moms are pretty good at just seeing something that needs to be done and doing it! :P I really don't think I have the patience to ever instruct on a regular basis, but helping out occasionally is probably a good thing, for many of the reasons that you all mentioned. :)
Helping out over time like that will help you get that experience for when you finally do teach on a more regular basis.

It gets somewhat easier the more you do it. You did not mention a number but imagine having 15 to 20 kids that are acting like they are hoped up on Mountain Dew and pixie tix. Also you'll improve as a martial artist the more you teach you'll see the little things because of you new prespective. But well said its a different story on the other side of class.

Yes, great job on stepping up with the assist... This is one of the reasons why, in most Karate/MA dojos, it takes a while to progress from advanced kyu ranks (2nd/1st kyu, most likely brown belts) to black belt: it's not just about one's personal ability or skill anymore. It's also about one's ability to lead and instruct other students!
