Matt123 Posted January 12, 2014 Author Posted January 12, 2014 Thanks for replies, dr says physical therapy which I do but it doesn't seem to be a permanent fix. It's very aggravating, but I know there must be people out there with similar problems.

wagnerk Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Are you in US or in GB ? I ask as the Isshin in the US, is of Okinawan origin : Kata and Bunkai based training, along with Kobudo. Here in GB, it's a free style sports system, developed by 'Ticky' Donovan, more free sparring based. Both have good reputations though...Isshin-ryu and Ishinryu are two completely different styles of karate, both are in the UK/GB, it's not just a US/GB thing. Thanks for replies, dr says physical therapy which I do but it doesn't seem to be a permanent fix. It's very aggravating, but I know there must be people out there with similar problems.Have you considered arts like Tai Chi (there are classes that are for health as well as self-defence, eg Wu style, though Yang style is pretty good too), Lee style kung fu or even Bagua Zhang? Matt123 Posted January 12, 2014 Author Posted January 12, 2014 I am in US and it is Isshin-ryu. I also did wing chun several years ago. I didn't seem to enjoy it that much
