JohnASE Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 If you're limited to students from your complex, I like the "bring a friend" suggestions. Maybe you could offer a free private lesson or other perk for the bringer and the friend. If you're in a large complex, I'd bet you have a lawn or other flat common area somewhere. Could you hold a special class or demo there where residents can see? You might need permission though. Oh, and FYI, I hear from people who hold classes in parks that white uniforms and grass don't mix well, so other clothing might be a good idea if that's what you use. Usually if the friend signs up, they get $10 for each friend off of their next testing or gear order. Ninja nights and other "bring a friend" parties like this are awesome. We are lucky enough to have Ernie Reyes Jr. working for our schools now, gets a lot of interest in the demos and he's a really cool dude to talk to.John There are some people who live in a dream world, and there are some who face reality; and then there are those who turn one into the other.-Douglas Everett, American hockey player

Kusotare Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 ... but as for now I am teaching in the gym of the clubhouse of the association I live in and can only teach to residents, luckily it's a very big community. OK, ignorant Englishman here, but what does an "association" mean in this respect? Is it some sort of gated community?K. Usque ad mortem bibendum!
