Harkon72 Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 I train in Karate, but I have a need to purchase a Kung Fu suit to practice Wing Chun and to teach my private lessons. I think that a Frog Collar suit is very smart. I think that an all black suit with the pants that gather at the ankles would be ideal. I've seen a 100% cotton one on amazon for £25, I have never worn one, do they fit well? Are they worth the money? Do I need to get one at all? I would appreciate your thoughts on this guys. Look to the far mountain and see all.
sensei8 Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 First, I'm not a Kung-Fu practitioner. My thoughts...I have never worn one, do they fit well? What I've seen, they seem to fit like mostly anything else does, but, that's dependent upon picking the right size first. Kung-Fu uniforms seem to fit loosely/baggy. There sizes are selected from sizes 000-9.Are they worth the money? They are if said Kung-fu school requires one to wear. Quality varies just like they do for a Karate gi; depends whom the manufacturer is. What I've seen, most Kung-fu uniforms are quite lightweight, but, imho, they couldn't hold up to the abuse as seen my Karate gi's.Do I need to get one at all?Again, if said Kung-fu school requires them, then yes. Ask said school!! **Proof is on the floor!!!
