Hawkmoon Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Ah-Ha that's what you look like! You do raise your head but you do so as in response to an attacker (the practice dummy) that is taller than you!Lower the dummy about 6-8 inches.Check yourself, stance and head position with the new height! “A human life gains luster and strength only when it is polished and tempered.”Sosai Masutatsu Oyama (1923 - 1994) Founder of Kyokushin Karate.
sensei8 Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Also, many lift their chins because they're not wanting to get struck, and they think that by lifting ones chin, they'll be out of reach, and that's not the case always, and that also could be because they've been struck in the chin to often. Sometimes its the lack of live drilling/sparring and the like. I'm not saying that that's what you're doing and/or experiencing, I'm just pointing out other possibilities because a chin-offering is a big target, one that can't be ignored. **Proof is on the floor!!!
