Haha. That's awesome!

I'm going to a three day training at the end of the month for teachers on legally dealing with belligerent students while keeping yourself, other students and the attacking student all safe. We're gonna start with how to talk them down and prevent it from becoming physical and then we're going to work on some techniques for (safely, legally) stopping and restraining kids if they do get physically violent.

I'm never expecting to have to use it, but it's very good training to have.

I know of a Nanny who works in Saudi Arabia, she is paid well and not just cares for the children, she can protect them if she had to.

Look to the far mountain and see all.

We have a school here that routinely calls in about out of control students. Good skills to have, for sure.

Not a bad deal for those nannies, for sure, especially in dealing with paparazzi and all that. Its too bad it is necessary.

I use it all the time at work, especially when pushing open doors with tate shuto.....

The spiritual calmness works wonders with everything I do.

We have thought of approaching some companies to see if they wanted discounted classes or SD classes, especially hospitals etc. Thinking of the increased attacks on A&E staff.

Substance abuse councilor. Sometimes people don't "recover" and sometimes those "friends" don't want their buddies to get clean. My very first student was jumped twice while training with me. I credit him coming home whole and healthy to his wife as much to his verbal skills and awareness as to the physical skills he had gained.

Retail manager? Broke up a fight and managed space, and my anger, in a couple of bad interactions in that job.

I can see that martial arts training would come in useful for military personnel, and to some degree law enforcement officers.

In the UK however, there are a number of systems utilised by Teachers, care workers and public sector personnel that, frankly, are far better suited.

One of the most popular utilised by LEA's is a system called MAPA (Management of Actual or Potential Aggression).
