cmmder_cool
At my dojo we get results two weeks after the test. This is also a test of patience because if you ask how you did before the results its an automatic failure. Then my Sensei puts the new belt you then we bow and thank Sensei. JasonW
When I get promoted to a new rank, even if its just a stripe we have a formal recognition of it. Blue belt -Isshin Ryu
barrypardue
He will probably just get the belt and give it to you the next class. Or he might be testing your patience. Martial Arts is not just a hobby, Its a way of life!!!
xo-karate
In BJJ it's often said "Keep it real" or some thing like that. I think it would be keeping real if we could get feedback on what happened
infinitehand
I'm not sure I'd anyone has replied with the same thing. But I personally like this. Tiny ceremonies are nice but at the same time I think obscure the true goal. I think maybe your teacher was saying, hey look, it's no big deal. "Karate is about digging deeper, not climbing higher." JGarner890
In my Instructors school, we did the test, then the next class we had would be getting promoted. I remember my Black Belt test one day, then about 3weeks to a month later I got promoted. Don't be too hard on yourself, you will get it. Perfect Practice makes Perfect.
