when u said that the hieght is there but the speed isnt it kinda sounded familiar

 

i have this bad habit as well

 

u might be winding your kicks from outside too much which sends alot of info on what you are doing

 

i do it all the time

 

im trying to get rid of that habit

 

just try kicking up that straight line and keep that in mind when sparring

I think this has something to do with how supple the muscles are...you could try stretching exercises.

 

Just a simple stretching exercise like standing with your feet three feet apart and leaning over to one side..so that one leg is bent and you can feel the inside of the other thigh being pulled.

 

Also, practise makes perfect.
