Hi. Im thinking of buying the kyoto kumite gi from blitz sport. Has anyone got one? What are your thoughts?

Exellent gi. Marerial is nice and not to heavy at 9ounce. Recommend to anyone. It has an inside gumshield pocket too

I just ordered one for £60 which i thought was more reasonable than some of the Arawazas I was looking at. How is it for cleaning? My last suit was a Blitz White Diamond which was really heavy, so it was brutal for cleaning and drying.

I've heard only good things about this gi, my only issue is the location of the Kyoto logo on the front and back.

I'm a big fan of the Hirota pinack gi but they obviously cost a lot more.

It is a bit big on the branding! But seems a nice suit. Tried it on last night when it came. Really nice, light and the material is a welcome change to cardboard like cotton canvas. Folded up, it could slip into a bag without massive bulk. Will see how it goes tomorrow when I take it out to a class.

The kata ones are crap, not worth the money at all.

I've never had a kumite one or even seen one but blitz kits are generally just cheap and cheerful.

My kata Kyoto gi is about ready for the bin after 18 months or so of not particularly heavy use (washed every 3 weeks at most-I have about 10 gi's that get rotated)

Certainly not worth the £120 retail or whatever it should cost.

The kumite one is ok. Slightly heavier than the usual kumite gi and I'd say it's worth a purchase.

Never buy the kata/japan cut though. Worst ki I've ever owned. Not nice at all.
