danbong Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 From Googling it, seems to be only (Shinson) Hapkido schools which use this term. The normal Korean term used is "sogi".In the book "Hapkido: Traditions, Philosophy, Technique" by Marc Tedeschi, the term for stance is given as cha-se on page 1124.For another reference, http://www.martialartsresource.com/korean/TKD.list.htm#Stances contains the entries:sohgi : stancejah seh : posture (or stance) [used instead of "sohgi" in some styles] ichi-go ichi-e 一期一会one encounter, one chance
bushido_man96 Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 I'd guess, and its just a guess, is an addition to "Hapkido" because its another offshoot of Hapkido. This happens alot when people branch off from their former school and take their own, slightly divergent path in the same art. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
